Together, they create a cupcake business, but the problem? None of them have any money. It’s chaotic, hilarious and is a total girl boss show.

The Mindy project stars the iconic comedian Mindy Kaling.
It’s a hilarious sitcom that has the quirky aspects of New Girl. The show revolves around a successful doctor, Mindy Lahiri (played by Mindy Kaling), who might be a great doctor, but is failing at every other aspect of her life.
With help from her college best friend, Mindy learns how to become a better, and more functional, person.
3. Jane The Virgin
Jane the Virgin is an iconic comedy. Jane, played by actress Gina Rodrieguez, is a religious woman who waitresses at a hotel, located in Miami.
As Jane is a religious woman, she’s a virgin — and she’s saving herself for marriage, with her long term partner.
At a gynecological checkup, there was a bit of a mix-up, and the doctor accidentally artificially inseminates Jane.
Not only does Jane end up pregnant, but she’s pregnant with the owner of the hotel’s baby. Yep, it’s total chaos and drama.
4. It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is one of the funniest shows on television. If you haven’t seen this show yet, then you need to start watching ASAP.
The gang consists of five friends: Charlie, Dee, Mac, Dennis and Frank. They work together at their own Irish bar, Paddy’s Pub, which they all work at.
While the gang are not good people, they are hilarious. This show is full of laughs, and the characters are extremely memorable.
5. Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is another incredible comedy.
Based out of the police station in Brooklyn, the main character Jake Peralta (played by Andy Samberg) works alongside his colleagues. He’s a detective, and he’s a goofball.
He loves his job, just like the rest of the team, but there’s always some form of chaos when Jake is around. It’s full of amazing characters, strong women, and hilarious storylines.

Don’t Trust the B**** In Apartment 23 is a brilliant comedy.
It focuses on two women, including Krysten Ritter who plays Chloe, and Dreama Walker who plays June.
Chloe is a real New Yorker, troublesome and chaotic, and she ends up with clumsy roommate June. June has to learn how to manage the wild world of New York City, as well as her slightly crazy roommate, Chloe.
Oh, and it also stars James Van Der Beek, who plays himself, James Van Der Beek.
9. How I Met Your Mother
How I Met Your Mother is a great sitcom.
It follows Ted Mosby (played by Josh Radnor), who is trying to find true love. The story takes place over twenty years, following him from college to marriage.
However, throughout the course of the show, the viewers see flashbacks to events that happened during those twenty years.
It’s a sitcom about a group of friends, and it tells their tales, as Ted sets on a journey to find his true love. Like with most romantic stories, it definitely isn’t an easy journey.
10. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is a really fun comedy.
Kimmy Schmidt is played by Ellie Kemper. The story shows how Kimmy, along with others, escaped a cult, and tried to live a normal life.
Kimmy ends up moving to New York City, where she tries to navigate life and learns how to live again.

11. Schitt’s Creek
Schitt’s Creek is a wonderful comedy.
It follows the downfall of a billionaire family, who lose all of their money, and have to relocate to a very small town, and live in a motel. It shows the rich family adapting to very normal life, and the ‘struggles’ of living an ordinary life.
It is a hilarious show, with tons of character development, and brilliant script writing.
12. Emily In Paris
Emily In Paris is a Netflix original comedy drama, all about American-girl Emily, who ends up moving to Paris for a marketing job.
The show is about how Emily gets used to the classy life of Paris, and how she adapts to an environment that is outside her comfort zone.
It’s all about friendship, career goals, love and betrayal. The show isn’t all about glitz and glamor, it’s a lot of comedy and tons of drama.
13. The Good Place
While The Good Place doesn’t star Zooey Deschanel, it does star Kristen Bell, which means it’s definitely an amazing show.
The show is based in the ‘afterlife’. When a character dies and ends up in the wrong afterlife, the good afterlife, chaos and drama starts to emerge. It’s hilarious, funny and definitely a unique sitcom.
